Quentin Blake
Sir Quentin Blake is probably the most beloved author and illustrator in the UK, as well as being a huge favourite with French readers. He has been the Festival’s patron for 20 years and he’s very kindly accepted to come for a special public appearance! He is famous, amongst countless other things, for his illustrations of Roald Dahl’s stories (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Big Friendly Giant…). Quentin Blake is also an eminent Francophile and knows more than most of us combined about French culture, illustration, poetry and art.
A Few of his Books:
- The House in the Tree (2017, Alma)
- Three Little Monkeys (2016, Harper Collins)
- Three Little Owls (2013, Tate)
- The BFG (1982, Puffin)
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964, Puffin)
