Daniel Hahn
Daniel Hahn translates literary fiction, from Portuguese, Spanish and French. A prize-winning translator and translation activist, he works with writers, publishers and book festivals, and with a range of organisations that support literature, reading and free expression. Among many other things, he is one of the leaders of the Aarhus 39 project: a group of 39 European children’s authors under 40. They will all be taking part in a special Hay Festival event in this year’s European capital of culture Aarhus in October 2017.
